Focus 52 January--Fogged In

Wow, can't believe January is over and done with!  It's been somewhat of a blur as life here has taken a turn.  My mother-in-law's Alzheimer's has progressed that she can no longer live alone...we now have a couple of women coming in for part of the day and my husband and I are swapping nights with her and filling in the other gaps.  Trying to keep her in her own home as the least amount of change she experiences, the better her condition should remain--hopefully.  It's a day-to-day guessing game what will be next, but we are doing what we can to keep her in a familiar environment and keep her safe.

That said, I haven't had much time to think about this photo challenge I signed up for.  However, I did get a picture the other morning of a heavy winter fog that greeted me with dawn's arrival.


Thinking about it this morning, I guess it is applicable to my life right now.  I am trying to navigate my way through a fog that has settled in.

Maybe this is a very appropriate God-aware moment for me.  Life--with its many troubles, challenges, heartaches and unknowns--can engulf you and block out the hope and peace that can be found in Jesus.  When our focus shifts from Him, it becomes difficult to navigate through the fogged-in days of life. 
  
James 4:14 (NLT) says:  "How do you know what will happen tomorrow? For your life is like the morning fog -- it's here a little while, then it's gone."

Last month I read a devotional by Amy Carroll.
This was a question she asked:
  

And these were the verses she shared:  

Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV) "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

  1. Oh the wonderful encouraging and mighty Word of God.. Where would we be without it! For the days life just seems to be a fog... it is the the light that filters through the fog... Beautiful pics and great post.. Be blessed as you walk this journey.. Blessings!
